T is for Trees

A major component of all habitats trees are the workhorses of the environment providing food, shelter, and oxygen for people and wildlife. In this lesson, students learn about the important role trees play in the ecosystem by reading The Kapok Tree by Lynne Cherry. They will then explore the trees found in Mississippi and the role they play. Then they will make their own tree to take home.
